Come join us for songs, activities, stories and a theme related craft. Preschool Storytime is conducted on Mondays beginning at 2:30 PM in 8-10 week sessions. The Winter 2019 session is currently ongoing and continues through Monday, February 25th. There will be no story time January 21 and February 18th will be rescheduled to February 19th. This program is best suited to children ages 2-5. No registration is required.
School visits by Dover Elementary School students are held the first and third Friday of every month. Homeschoolers are encouraged to contact the children’s librarian to arrange homeschool visits.
Family Film Nights are held once a month in the winter; they are free and open to the public. Specific movie information can be found on the Calendar of Events or by calling the library 802-348-7488.

Take a break from the winter blues and add a little spice to your family time by joining the Dover Free Library at one or all of the free programs for kids and families during the Winter Break Fun Week February 19th - February 22nd. Some programs may require registration. All programs are free and held at the library.
Presidential Birthday Storytime

Come for a bite of pizza and a helping of pizza related stories & games in the Community Room. Children under 13 must attend with a parent or guardian.(first come first served)

This program runs every Wednesday for babies, toddlers and their parents or caregivers. The open room format allows children to play, learn and interact with others their own age while adult caregivers meet and chat together. Age appropriate toys and activities are made available at that time. No registration is necessary
Wildlife Tales with So. VT Natural History Museum

Popular storytelling naturalist, Michael Clough, shares tales of animals and magic. With each story, a live animal will visit to bring a natural history piece to the myth and legends. No registration is necessary. This family friendly program is open to patrons of all ages and stages, but children under age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
On your mark, Get set….for some friendly competition at these game tournament-style programs. Leveled age groups will collect points at each game station (including traditional board games, digital video gaming, cards and more). Awards will be presented for the highest three scores. Participants in the aged 13 and up afternoon session will have an opportunity to experience the Lenovo/Disney Augmented Reality game: Star Wars Jedi Challenge. Signed parent/guardian release is required for participants under age 18. Space is limited for these programs and registration is required. Register Here before February 20th
